Banner photos by & /. I understand what you're saying, and I've been charged extra for rides to some of the 'nicer' resorts on Boracay and Mindoro. But until that kind of logic is extinguished, this society as a whole cannot progress. Edit: While I'm here, and to avoid double-posting: Fuck cabbies who drive up slow close to you when you're walking down the road. First, if I wanted a taxi why the fuck am I walking on the inside of the sidewalk at a pretty good pace, in inner BGC, at 2am, with a 7-11 bag and wearing pambahay? Secondly, the (not so) irrational fear of a random attack still is on my mind constantly and a car driving up next to you late at night does not do anything to calm my nerves.

There are reasons why they're taxi drivers. Some of them dont have logic. Also your pambahay might be their formal wear.
I also had the same issue with the Taxi Drivers in SM Megamall last December. I picked up some Pizza at Papa John's and had 30 minutes left to get back to the office at Rockwell Business Center near Medical City, and the Cab Driver asked me for a hundred. He said that they are that much since it's the Holiday Season, he said Pamasko. I opted to walk a couple of blocks and I was able to get a taxi that would not charge extra. And since it's the holiday I gave him extra.
Next time a taxi would ask for extra especially if it's not far, I'm gonna report him immediately. On hindsight, I should have taken his plate number and reported him to LTFRB.
